According to Chinese traditions, we need to celebrate Chinese New Year every year. Need to clean up the house, need to buy new clothes for the lunar new year and the list goes on and on.... And for each year, I have the usual practice - cleaning up my own room and getting my bed "new clothing" too - NEW BEDSHEET!
Ain't it NICE? Hurhur, I love my new bedsheet.
Also, it became a practice (or rather habit) for myself to do last minute shopping for my new year clothes. Elders always say "Everything from head to toe must be NEW". So I got myself clothes, undergarments, heels, bag, accessories - ALL NEW. *hurhur*. Gosh, I'm getting so bored of CNY already. It's just a day of getting ang pows, eating non-stop, saying hello to relatives I seldom see and playing black jack/mahjong etc. How I wish I am not in Singapore during CNY period. (probably can try it next year? hehe).
