Phuket has been always a place I wish to go since last year. Supposed to go last Oct but trip was postponed due to the riots in Thai. Was there for 4days 3 nights. It's specially enjoyable & memorable as it's my first time there & my first honeymoon with Him too. =)
Flew via TigerAirways in the early 7am morning. Our first time with budget airlines, our first time at the Budget Terminal. It was really BUDGET when I reached & saw the terminal. Haha. Everything from left to right, top to bottom are all within budget. No wonder it is named Budget Terminal. Very "Lok"! It's like a super big warehouse with all the terminals, staff and cafeteria. LOL. It's such a big difference compared to T1 & T2. Hahaha!
The Budget Terminal
Our Boarding Pass. Our expressions tell. It's just like a normal receipt we have for our shopping purchases lor! OMG. *faint*. Budget planes has its disadvantages. No free drinks. Everything needs to PAY! Even the crew looks quite "budget". (Ooppss!). But, it's still quite comfortable for short-distance flying.
Day One It only took us 1hr45min to reach Phuket. Our thai travel agent Tony brought us around for a half day city tour before we can check in our hotel. Quite a waste of time actually. First stop - a t-shirt wholesale manufacturer/distributor. T-shirt ain't nice at all. Every shirt has the word "Phuket". Don't like! Second stop allows us to buy some of their local food products. The irritating part of the city tour is they brought us to the Honey factory. This old man (who is a Malaysian) explains to us about the making of the honey, royal jelly etc and gave us samples to taste. After almost 30minutes of his "story-telling", he tried to persuade us to buy their products. Took almost 15min to sell but failed. No one in the room wants to buy. Hahahaha. Really a waste of our time! Last stop was the Shooting Range. Paid 690Baht (S$32) for 10 bullets. Worth for the first attempt. *smile*
Us at the Shooting Range. Cool yea?!
With friends' recommendations, we chose Banthai Beach Resort. Heard that it was owned by a Singaporean. Good service, friendly service staff, nice rooms with beach views too!
Started our first day with Watersports activities. Parasailling - costs us 700baht ($32) per pax. Tied us with the life jacket, the TIGHT safety belts. The speedboat will just pull you up with that stupid bright yellow parachute, high up in the sky to see the beach view. Just left to right, right to left. Whole thing takes about 3 min at most. Haha. Irritating part is there will be a staff flying up with you. He will use his legs to hold ur waist to pull you down when it's time to land. Not comfortable at all, with his pair of stupid legs "squeezing" your waist. *rolleyes*
Him after his parasailing.
Thai pple are very friendly but at the same time greedy. After the parasailing, the man asked for a 1500baht tips! Ridiculous right?! How I wish I could kick his ass real hard lor! Went to JetSki after that. Didn't manage to take any pictures as the staff seem to rush us to get onto the jetski. But, It was fun! Went full speed, going against the incoming waves. It's fun & thrilling. Hehe.
We went for dinner at a Thai restaurant & strolled along the streets. Ended our day with a comfortable Thai massage.
Day Two Slept for few hours only, as we need to be at the hotel lobby by7.45am! Yup, we are going for a full day island tour - PhiPhi island! We started off with Maya Beach. It is known as the Most Beautiful beach in Thailand. Maya Beach is where the Hollywood movie "The Beach" starring Leonardo Di Caprio, was filmed. Nice view, clean beach. Went to a few more islands/beaches like Loh Sambay, PhiPhi Le, PhiPhi Don, Khai Island etc. Went swimming, suntanning & snorkelling. Overall, a pleasant day tour though no luck to see school of fishes during snorkelling.
Looks yummy ya?
The Crepe pancake is a MUST TRY in Phuket. We bought 2 flavours. Ham&Cheese and Raisin Chocolate.
I was happily holding the crepe back to the resort and just bcos of my clumsy legs, I missed a step and the crepe flew flat down on the ground. Means I can't even eat my Raisin Chocolate!!!
The stain was there for the next few days. Seem that it can't be removed fully. Haha. My stain left at Banthai? Haha.
Day Three
We went Go-karting! It was so fun as it's my first attempt too. 500 baht for 10min but enough to go many rounds. Though just the 2 persons on the track but it's really fun & thrilling. Played twice and well, he won me by 1 round only. He wants to defeat me by 2 rounds but HAHA, too bad. Try harder next time..hahaha. =p
ATV was another new attempt for us.
Just a mini-jeep trekking at the jungle/forest track?
The day was perfect with the ATV & go-karting. Thanks to our tourguide Tony who offered to drive us there (of course it's not free).
Went to Central Festival - it's a newly opened shopping centre. VERY BIG with cinema too. Their cinema is like our SG's Gold Class cinema? Only 2 movies -Die Hard 4.0 and Transformers. Hehe. They have Carrefour supermarket, the brand boutiques etc... And they have nice toilets and it's very CLEAN..!
Took a shuttle bus back to our resort in the evening and look at those shophouses along the roads. There's barely any litter or rubbish found too. Phuket people do not like to throw litter anywhere. hahaha.
Nice scenery, nice sunset. :)
Rest awhile in our resort, went for a short swim and massaged.
I't's our last night at Phuket so we visited Banana Disco - a must-go in the forum. Did not manage to take a picture of the entrance but the place was not bad. Music was good. R&B. Crowd was still ok. Lotsa of Thai gers and angmos. Men seem to be hunting for babes in there and ended up hugging each other dancing. But I guess it's normal there (but not for the attacheds!)
Beware! Drunken people crossing! A very LAME road sign. Haha
Day Four
Our last day here. Our last breakfast at Banthai Resort. Gotta miss every single moment here.
Happily going our last breakfast with my Korean bf. (The Thais thought he's a Korean, LOL)
4 days of Thai massage give glossy legs (see, it's shining!) and blueblacks also. hahaha.
Finally, a Tigerairway ticket for us.
Great fun at Phuket. Simply don't feel like going back home. The activities, the fun, the romance, the massage, the clubbing etc...were super enjoyable. Just me & you. It's like having our honeymoon. Sweet & memorable. Awww...missing it still. Boy, thanks for fulfilling my wish (as I had always hope to come here) and we had together made it happen! Really miss the days & nights there. Looking forward to our next trip. :)
