October was a busy month for me. A month whereby everything seem so rushed!
Let me share about my happenings, bit by bit...... :)
15 - 20 Oct: Taiwan trip
Our 1st trip to Taiwan. A mixed-feelings trip - HAPPY, ENJOYABLE & DISAPPOINTING.
We took by CHINA AIRLINES. Ok listen hard - NEVER TAKE THIS AIRLINE. CAUSE IT SUCKS BIG TIME!Flight was supposed to be 1025hr. Plane took off as per scheduled BUT FLEW BACK TO SG after 30 minutes due to their so-called technical breakdown. There was a 'sudden drop' in the sky and then detoured back to land. They made us stay in the plane for almost 2 hrs announcing that they are doing a check, with NO AIR CON still. Only after that 2 hours, we are advised to wait at the transit lounge. Waited again and another bad news - They are going to fly a plane from Taipei and thus flight delayed to 2100hrs. All this stupid airline can do is - move us to Carlton Hotel for a rest first and then send us back to airport at night again.
The transit lounge was in chaos and there are only 2 pathetic CI staff attending to the passengers' complaints/frustrations etc. A listed airline company but yet only 2 staff handling such a situation. DISAPPOINTING.
We requested to change our flight to 20 Oct (instead of 19) and requested for a free hotel night stay. They agreed initially. BUT way before we board our night flight, the CI staff told us Taipei HQ rejected the request of providing a free accommodation stay and we are to pay NT3000 per night if we are to still stay at Holiday Inn. WTF! Such a last minute notification and BIG DISAPPOINTMENT again.
We prayed like mad - praying for safety to Taiwan. And thankfully, we reached safely at 3.00am!!!
All in all, we had a wonderful & fun trip in Taiwan (minus the terrible China Airline we took - there was even a flight delay when we are on our way back to SG).
Weather was very cooling - like 18' degree daily.
The only part is probably the shopping was not happening enough because the clothes are mainly long-sleeved, thick clothings.
It was once again an enjoyable trip together, just like how we enjoyed much during our Phuket trip.
We agree to go back again during their Summer again!
24 - 26 Oct: Genting Getaway
Immediately the week after our Taiwan trip, we had a Genting getaway with his friends.
Didn't take pictures anyway cos nothing special in Genting.
Bought my Vincci heels, had good food everyday.
I love MarryBrown in Genting!
Now fully back to work. No more holidays.
Left with 2 months to chiong for my sales.
Been working late everyday but I have to - for the sake of my branch and my girls.
Been keeping myself motivated & positive.
Looking forward to Honey's wedding!
Looking forward to Christmas!
Looking forward to year 2010!
