Skincare Essentials

Recently, I am into skincare research and been reading up forums on recommendations & stuffs.
Probably because I am stepping into wedding preparations now and hope that i will have flawless skin on my wedding day. :)

And probably due to work stress, my skin has been very 'tense' & dull and have frequent pimple/acne breakouts on my chin & cheek areas. *sobs* Super duper depressed to the maximum!
I am under a facial package program only this year (never step into facial parlors for donkey years!). My beautician put me on chemical peel once every few weeks and the usual facial routine with cleansing, extractions & masking. My skin tends to be dry especially after the peel and friends will notice my skin is quite dry and sees cracks sometimes.Being the kiasu me, I bought facial products, different masks etc on my daily skincare routine. I bet these products had cost me few hundreds already. *heartpain!* What to do~ I'm not born to have flawless skin.....*a big sigh*

So, daily skincare routine is crucial especially NOW!
Back-to-basics starts from.....

1) Makeup Removal
Every girl puts on makeup almost daily and makeup removal is a must-do no matter how tired you are. I personally tried a few brands before. Used FANCL cleansing oil for the longest time (almost 2 years) and maybe my skin is quite immune to it & it started to have breakouts.

Changed to Biore Water Based Makeup remover and the makeup can be easily washed off.

Available at Watson's.

Biore Eye Makeup remover is SUPERB. A 10-cent size and a swipe on each eye, the eyeliner & mascara are gone! Highly recommended. :)

Read thru a forum review and I am now trying my 1st bottle - Cleaning Express!

2) Cleansing
Comfortably using Face Shop Aloe Vera Cleanser, recommended by cousin Ting.
This big tube can last more than 3 months i think. :)

4) Softening
Before moisturing, prime your skin with this -

Ettusais - AC-Skincare Version Up extra

A moisturizer (cum toner) that prevents recurring blemishes & lighten acne scars!

It has AC control oil which helps to seal the moisture into your skin. Has Vitamin C & other brightening ingredients that heal blemishes, lighten acne scars (i hope) and help to prevent pockmarks.

6) Smoothening
The last step.
Put on your night whitening cream or water sleeping pack and say goodnight with smooth, refreshed skin!

That's the simple 6 steps I am doing now and let's look forward to excellent results on my skin & yours too! :)

Goodnight! :)
